Where are my counters stored?

On your phone, in a local database. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on synchronisation with a server you configure yourself.

How do I back up my counters?

Open Settings and use the JSON export. Keep the file somewhere safe: you can import it again on the same or another phone.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Uninstalling removes the local database, and your counters with it. Export a backup first if you want to keep them.

What is synchronisation?

It is an optional feature for people who host their own Counter++ server. You enter the server address, your e-mail and your password for that server, and the app keeps your counters in sync with it. bdzapps does not run a public sync server.
